ScanItFast for iPhone

Most questions are answered by the sections below. If yours is not, write to support@dreamwaylabs.com and include your iPhone model and iOS version — it makes a problem far quicker to work out.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us, so cancelling is done on your iPhone: open Settings, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, select ScanItFast and tap Cancel Subscription.

Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. This catches people out with every subscription app, so it is worth repeating: remove the subscription first, then delete the app if you want to.

You keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for. After that, documents you have already saved remain accessible.

I paid but the app says I am not Premium

Open the paywall and tap Restore Purchases. This asks Apple to confirm your existing subscription and usually fixes it immediately. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you used to subscribe. If it still does not work, email us with the date of purchase and the Apple Account you used.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple, since Apple processes the payment. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the purchase. We cannot issue the refund ourselves.

I denied camera access and now I cannot scan

Open Settings on your iPhone, scroll to ScanItFast, and turn Camera on. The app only uses the camera while you are actively scanning, and images are processed on your device.

My scans come out blurry or crooked

A few things help: put the document on a surface with a contrasting colour so the edges are easy to detect, avoid a hard shadow falling across the page, and let the phone settle for a moment before the automatic capture fires. If the crop is not right, you can adjust it on the review screen before saving, and the Enhanced Colour and Black & White filters usually make printed text considerably crisper.

Where are my documents stored? Can I get them back?

On your iPhone, inside the app. They are never uploaded to us — we have no server and no copy, which is a deliberate design decision explained in the privacy policy. Practically, that means we cannot recover a document you have deleted. Export anything important to the Files app or share it to yourself as a backup.

The text recognition missed some words

OCR works best on printed text that is in focus and reasonably straight. Handwriting, unusual fonts, low light and heavy skew all reduce accuracy. Rescanning with better light usually helps more than anything else. The PDF itself is still perfectly usable when recognition is imperfect.

Something else, or a feature request

Email us. The app is deliberately small, and feature requests are what decide which of the few things it does next.
