ScanItFast for iPhone · Last updated 8 September 2026
Your documents stay on your iPhone. Scanning, PDF creation, signing and text recognition run on your device. ScanItFast has no user accounts or advertising. We use TelemetryDeck to understand feature usage without sending document contents or linking analytics to your identity. Documents leave the app only when you choose to share or export them, or through your device backup.
ScanItFast is made by Dreamway Labs LLC ("Dreamway Labs", "we"), which is the data controller for any personal data this policy covers. If anything here is unclear, or you want to ask a question about your data, write to support@dreamwaylabs.com.
Everything happens on your device. When you scan a page, the image is captured by your iPhone's camera, processed by the app on the device, and saved as a PDF in the app's own storage on that iPhone. Text recognition (OCR) also runs locally, using the text recognition built into iOS.
We never receive your scans, the text inside them, their file names, or any part of their contents. There is no server for them to be sent to.
You can review or withdraw any of these at any time in the iOS Settings app. Declining a permission does not delete anything you have already saved.
ScanItFast uses TelemetryDeck to measure actions such as opening the app, saving or sharing a PDF, viewing the subscription screen and completing a purchase or restore. Events can include counts and durations, the selected plan, app and operating-system versions, device type, and a hashed identifier for the app installation. This helps us understand reliability, usage and conversion. Analytics are not linked to your identity and are not used for advertising or tracking across other companies' apps.
We do not send scans, images, signatures, OCR text, filenames, email addresses, payment details or other document contents to TelemetryDeck. We do not request an advertising identifier. TelemetryDeck states that it does not store IP addresses. TestFlight and simulator events are marked as test data.
TelemetryDeck processes these events on our behalf. Its privacy documentation explains its anonymization and retention practices. Usage events may be retained long-term; we do not promise a fixed deletion period. Contact us with questions about this processing.
Separately from the app, Apple gives developers aggregated, anonymised statistics about App Store performance — how many people downloaded the app, and crash reports from users who chose to share them with developers. We do not control this, it identifies no one, and it never includes your documents or anything inside them. You can switch it off on your iPhone under Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
ScanItFast Premium is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the App Store. Payment is handled entirely by Apple: we never see your card details, billing address or Apple Account. We receive only the anonymous confirmation from Apple's system that tells the app whether a subscription is currently active.
Managing, renewing and cancelling a subscription is done in your iPhone's Settings, and Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription — see the support page for how to cancel.
Your scans live in the app's storage on your iPhone, and are covered by your device's own encryption and passcode. Deleting a document in the app removes it from the device. Deleting the app removes all of its documents. We do not hold a server copy of your documents. Deleting the app does not remove documents you previously exported or shared, and does not cancel a subscription.
If you use iCloud device backup, your iPhone may include the app's documents in that backup. That backup is controlled by you and governed by Apple's privacy policy, not by us.
ScanItFast is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect identifying information from children. The same restrictions on document content and analytics apply to every user.
Privacy laws including the GDPR give you rights to access, correct, export and erase personal data held about you. Your documents are controlled locally, and we do not connect usage analytics to your name or account. If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to respond. To exercise your rights or ask about data, write to us at support@dreamwaylabs.com. If you are in the European Union, the EEA or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page, and any change that affects what the app does with your information will be described here before it takes effect.
